We’re a group of talented hair professionals in Summerland, BC who love what we do to the bone. We push ourselves to expand our skills, so you always get the service that’s right for you. And although we’ve been in business for nine years, some of us have been together for 19—it’s what makes us family.
Stephanie Co-Owner + Master Colourist
Stephanie is a certified Goldwell Master Colourist and co-owner of Beauty Box. She’s been doing hair since 2004 and founded our salon with her best friend, Kolyn.
Stephanie’s passion for making people feel beautiful started straight out of high school when she attended MC College in Kelowna, specializing in hair. She’s trained in the KMS IQ cutting method and loves to play with bold and bright colours.
When she’s not at the salon, you can find her hanging out with her husband and son (and cat and dog) chilling, hiking, or crafting.
Kolyn Co-Owner + Master Colourist
Kolyn is a Master Colourist and Beauty Box’s co-owner. She started cutting and styling her family’s hair when she was 8-years-old and always knew she wanted to own a hair salon. She graduated from hair school in June 2001.
Kolyn’s education includes training from Penticton School of Hairdressing, Suki’s Advanced School of Hair, and the Goldwell Academy where she now teaches as the regional educator for the Okanagan region.
When it comes to hair, Kolyn is a certified Goldwell Master Colourist and uses the KMS IQ cutting method. She slays at various types of hair extensions (she’s a babe extension tech), curly hair (she’s got crazy curls of her own), and all types of colouring (bold, vivid, and funky colours are her favourite).
In recent years, Kolyn’s been experimenting with editorial shoots as a way to push herself and broaden her hair arsenal. And when she isn’t expanding her skills, you can find her hanging outside with her hubby, two kids, and two doggos.
Carol Manager + Senior Stylist
Carol is a salon manager and senior stylist who’s been with Beauty Box from the very beginning. She’s been styling hair for 10+ years (she graduated high school early) and earned a degree from the Penticton School of Hairdressing.
Carol’s skillset includes the KMS IQ cutting method and she stays up to date on the latest trends and techniques through continuous training at the Goldwell Academy. She’s a killer colourist with an affinity for Elumen and all kinds of hair extensions.
In her downtime, you can find Carol hanging out with her son or on the baseball field drinking beers and playing ball. She also loves to camp and jump cars through trailers, so we like to think of her as the laidback daredevil of our group.
Kirsten Manager + Senior Stylist
Kirsten is a senior stylist who’s been cutting hair for over 27 years. She graduated from the Academy of Excellence and continually updates her techniques through the Goldwell Academy. She’s a well-rounded stylist and trained in the KMS IQ cutting method, so she’ll crush any kind of style you throw at her (updos, foils, colours, you name it!).
When she’s not at the salon, Kirsten loves spending time with her two kids, gardening, and taking long walks on the beach.
Jen Senior Stylist
Jen is a senior stylist and punk rocker at heart. She trained at the Penticton School of Hair 16 years ago and has been cutting and styling ever since. (She even ran her own salon for five years!)
Jen loves to play with super funky colours and short razor cuts. And when she’s not at the salon, you can find her in the mountains snowboarding, playing roller derby, or just chilling with her family, cat and dog. (Oh and did we mention she loves to sing?)
Lisa Senior Stylist
Lisa is a seasoned beauty professional with 25 years of experience in the aesthetics industry. Today she’s a master at razor cuts and colouring. If you’re looking for the perfect blond or balayage, Lisa’s the woman for the job.
When she’s not creating bold transformations in the salon, Lisa is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She and her family spend their downtime camping, fishing, hiking, and biking the beautiful Okanagan Valley.
Brittany Senior Stylist
Brittany’s been styling hair for 10 years (and counting) and loves creating the perfect “lived-in” look. She graduated from MC College in Kelowna and enjoys furthering her education by taking industry-related classes in her spare time. When it comes to hair colouring, she rocks the blonde spectrum. She’ll make sure you get the right tone to match your features.
Brittany is currently on maternity leave, enjoying her beautiful baby boy, Mack.
Jerri Stylist
Jerri is a Red Seal-certified hair stylist with an affinity for blonding (and all things colouring, really). If you've got difficult curls, Jerri's your girl. She's got experience working every type of wave and she's an expert in textured cuts on both men and women—everyone will feel at home in her chair!
When she's not cutting and colouring, Jerri loves playing volleyball, walking her dogs, and listening to music with her family and friends.
Jasmine Stylist
Jasmine has been doing hair for over 10 years and she’s truly the master of her craft. From icy blondes to fiery reds and rich browns, there’s nothing she can’t do.
Whether you’re looking for a colour correction or bold, statement hair, Jasmine will make sure you leave the salon feeling like the best and most beautiful version of yourself.
When she's not working hair magic, you can find Jasmine enjoying life (and food) with her partner and 2 kids.
Ellen Junior Stylist
Ellen is a Goldwell Academy-trained stylist who worked her way up the Beauty Box ladder from client to receptionist to junior stylist. Her favourite part of her job? Bright, beautiful colour transformations.
When she isn’t absorbing all things hair, you can find Ellen enjoying time with her husband and daughter whom she credits as being her biggest supporters.
carrie Front End Manager
Carrie keeps everything at Beauty Box running smoothly. From managing our books to keeping us on schedule, she’s our heart and soul. More often than not, she’ll will be the one to welcome you to our salon and make sure your stylist is ready for you.
Carrie is a skilled gardener and an animal lover who knows nothing about hair (except how to rock rainbow like nobody’s business) and we love her for it.
Krista Front End Coordinator
As a front-end coordinator, Krista helps keep our operations running smoothly. From booking your appointments to greeting you at the front desk, you can rest assured you’re in good company with Krista.
Outside the studio, you can find her fostering dogs through Critteraid, crafting puppets, volunteering for Girl Guides, or spending time with her husband and three daughters.

Clyde Shop Dog
Meet Clyde. Our favourite furry friend here at the shop (and one of Stephanie’s fur babies). He loves going for walks and hikes, and he can’t get enough attention. So don’t be afraid to give him a little belly rub or affectionate scratch behind the ear.
